Major General Hector Macdonald

A local lad who grew up at Rootfield on a Croft and attended school at Mulbuie, this memorial was erected by his school friends. A hero who was treated very badly by others in the army as he did not come from an important family. There is a lot about him in Dingwall museum and a much bigger memorial sits above Dingwall.
