Rievaulx Abbey

Up early this morning for a really low tide at Runswick so P could spuddle round to the next bay looking for fossils . I had a walk along the beach and met up again with a woman we’d met yesterday who was hoping to buy a house nearby . She had her heart set on it but only found out last night that the seller was taking it off the market . Since it had sea views in both directions she was understandably upset so we walked along together with me providing a sympathetic ear . We exchanged numbers so I hope I hear she had found somewhere else she can be happy in the future .

After another picnic with views, we drove over the moors in mist to Rievaulx Abey where fortunately the sun was shining . As beautiful as ever and very peaceful . The English Heritage man managed to upsell us a membership so we will definitely be visiting other sites soon !! :)
