On the bales.....

One of those days again.
Staff shortage followed by various hold ups.
Once I'd been round and fed all my cows and calves,loaded up the grain dryer with oats. Pressed the button to start the burner ,which fired up,ran for about a minute then went out.
After a quick head scratch and knocking the side of the diesel tank,found the problem. Empty. Bugger.
So had to spend the next hour filling it up out of barrels on the front of the tractor loader.
By the time I got it all going and the load dried it was 2pm and the wind had picked up so much that the oats were blowing over the top of the dryer onto the ground so had to give it up as a bad job.
Went round the calving cows at 5 pm then loaded up a couple of loads of oat bales and stacked them in the shed. By the time I finished at 7.30 pm it was dark.
