A comedy waltz tonight
Brilliant show by Fairground Attraction at the Usher Hall.
Thirty-five years is some gap between tours. Between albums, for that matter. Think they played all but one track from First of a Million Kisses. And they sounded fantastic.
It’s possible I was the only audience member fascinated by the bassplayer using a guitarron sitting down, like a small upright bass. A very niche kind of cool, I thought.
At the end, Eddi Reader shed a tear or two. I turned to Mo to discover she seemed to have something in her eye, too.
