Knocknarea

It was warm today with showers as we travelled south to Sligo where we decided to go up Knocknarea where there is a large Megalithic cairn. It is supposedly the place where Queen Maeve of Connaught is buried. However, there is doubt as to whether the lady actually existed even though her feats and beauty are legendary. The hill is a very easy walk but the views are good especially when there is a shower. The blip is the view looking south west from near the top and the extra a collage of other shots.
