the bales and the beagle...

Saturday morning, and it feels a little cooler. think i only had to get up once in the night, and whilst i woke at 6am, i managed to snooze a little more until 7.30am.

cup of tea and then off to the wood we go. not sure whether the weather today is going to be as unbearable as yesterday or not - either way an early walk for Pete is a given.

we didn't make it as far as the wood as i got distracted by these hay bales! Pete must've been totally feed up with me trying to get a good pic. but dark clouds kept hampering me! i took lots, but for blip, i shared this one with pete on it....he was very curious about the bales!

back home, breakfast and then a spot of shopping before getting back to prepare my kebabs for lisa's BBQ later.

i did Delias 'grilled lemon chicken kebabs' Delia's Grilled Lemon Chicken Kebabs
and also Jamie Olivers Best Ever Kebabs...Jamie's Best Ever Kebabs
and then i picked some baby broad beans from my garden, to make a broad bean and smoked bacon salad......delicious!

all done, and ready and then off to Li's.

a cracking evening, as usual. Great food and drinks, and laughs. There was no sign of the recent heatwave either....
