I found Carl through a website called MyJobQuote, bought a new shed which needed assembling and needed an extra person, Carl turned up about 2.30 and worked tirelessly with Max all afternoon and into the evening to put it up. He posed for a photo in one of Max’s antique hats. Photo by Max.

We recycled a massive amount of photographic studio equipment today, I use a website called Trash Nothing, I split it between two people having had a lot of interest. We gave some to a lovely young girl who came round with her dad, she’s a singer songwriter and has made an album and was going to use the equipment to make videos for it. The rest we gave to a Ukrainian couple who moved here four months ago with their young children, he’s a photographer and she’s an artist and they arrived with nothing, I’m so glad we were able to find deserving homes for all the equipment.

Today would have been my mother’s 87th birthday, she passed away seven summers ago. Much missed.. I’m thinking about her a lot at the moment because I’m going through everything in the house and getting rid of stuff. I have a lot of her paperwork and various things and a lot of photographs. I am slowly whittling it down.
