Vangelis - One More Kiss, Dear

Pictured here are two people practicing ballroom dancing on the street. It was a strangely fitting ending to this day.

It was a day of a horrid coincidence. I took the early train to work, smooth transfer, bought a latte to reward myself. On the train to work, my carriage had (what I guess) trampled over someone. The train had stopped for 15 minutes until staff, police and the firefighters arrived. The train carriages here are so well made it was hard to hear the commotion.

I received a message from home. A tough one. One that puts you on panic mode unless you talk to someone. I video called to touch base and get the most hi-fi info I could.

Lights went out in the carriage. Young girls screamed. The announcement asked us to vacate the train. The 4 minute walk out to the back of the train felt like forever. Keeping online to get a grip with what’s going on, seeing the 6 firetrucks and 4 police cars and 2 ambulances whilst leaving the station was a sure way to panic.

Paramedics carted out someone/something and told people to turn away with big visors to cover what was there. My phone conversation continued but because I wanted to, I had to. It was very important to me.

To cut a long story short, I was delayed 1.5 hours and late for work but made the necessary calls to people to lessen the impact, I got high quality information and work carried on… and so did life but slightly better.

I’m thankful for loved ones I can talk to. I’m thankful to have an easy life with responsibilities and most personally important for me, I don’t reach for the bottle to hide anymore.
