Up early in Sablet to walk Coquine, buy some bread and viennoiserie, and meet the McCrackens :)

Headed to St Cecile with Louise, John and Pierre to go and meet Cathelijn. The market was boiling, I was knackered and there were LOADS of people, so we left pretty sharpish. Called in to see Jaap in Cairanne and got a tour round the house and garden.

Back to Les Pilles for a siesta and then over to Vaison to go to the cinema. Pierre has wanted me to see the Marcel Pagnol film, Marius (the old black & white version) for ages. It's hard enough watching a whole film in French but in black and white, with crap sound and really strong old Marseillais accents, it's almost impossible. We were then delighted to hear that Daniel Auteil has done new versions of the three films in the trilogy: Marius, Fanny, and César. We saw the first of the three tonight and it was brilliant. Classic Pagnol.

Had dinner in O'Natur'Elles in Vaison afterwards. Good main courses, rubbish café gourmand.

Great to have an evening with Pierre to myself xx
