Very damp but humid here today. Went for a short walk to get some air. I've been a bit fed up with cold, leg pain etc. Went to the local shop and spoke to one of the assistants who I thought might have an abscess as her speech was obviously difficult. I found out she's had tongue cancer and had a new one grafted from her thigh not long ago. I was horrified at what the poor woman's been through. She was very stoic and I felt humbled by her attitude. My cold was so pathetic after that..
