Parasols Against Poverty

Slightly bemused at all these umbrellas above one of the streets leading off Mourão's main square (the red sign is the post office where our post box is) - a great idea in the heat, but that's past now - anyway, now we see it's to do with the international day for the eradication of poverty. Still slightly bemused, actually - how will this help?? Looks lovely anyway.

A full day, some of which I'll put in gratefuls, as I am grateful:
- our faithful Support Group, led today by our cheeky son
- going to Évora to watch "We Live in Time", review here, thought it was lovely, worth watching for the birth scene alone!
- stopping by when we saw lights and meeting our new neighbours, Bill and Manjit, retired doctors from England, who invited us in for a whisky; coming to Sem Fim with us tomorrow.

And, sorry, but mainly stars and hearts when I've read your journals, still need to make tiramisù for tomorrow.
