In an improvement from last week I got 2.02 miles out of him on the way to the allotment and a further 0.5 on the way home. He lasted almost all the rest of the way in the seat but started snoring a few minutes out of the door. He could have stayed in the shade around the side for a while had the neighbour not appeared and started unfreshening the air, but I was able to hoick the necessary things inside for the remainder of the afternoon.
