Through these doors...

Barclays bank haven't got the best reputation, but they are rather charmingly using a variant of this on at the entrance to their branches: "Through these doors walk the loveliest people in the world" - plus, in smaller font underneath "and you're one of them!".

This version was spotted on the entrance to a hotel in Oxford's castle complex. There was a workman having a cup of tea next to it, so I asked if it was true.

To my surprise he said "yes". So maybe we shouldn't be so cynical about such things? Or maybe it was just 'cos he was Polish and didn't quite get my meaning?
