6 Months Old

Happy half a year to my little man!

Charlie now weighs 15lb 10oz and is following his 25% percentile weight curve perfectly! His eyes are still very blue, starting a deep blue on the outside and getting paler towards the pupil, and his head is still very bald! To be fair he has a lot of blonde fuzz but it's barely noticeable on photographs.

Charlie loves being able to roll everywhere. Once he's set his sights on something (even across the room) he gets to it and into the mouth it goes! He doesn't have any teeth yet and the drooling seems to have calmed down so I'm not expecting them overnight. He can also sit up unaided (using his hands as props) for a good chunk of time but doesn't like to. He'd much rather throw himself down and roll off!

We've stopped giving a dream feed now as he sleeps through from 7pm or so. He'll then wake any time between 5:30am and 7:30am, feed, then asleep again until 8am so I can't complain!

My happy chappy laughs a lot still. He's also become ticklish on the soles of his feet and his ribs. He thinks his dad is hilarious but giggles at mummy a lot too. He still loves to hear You Are My Sunshine, as well as Wind The Bobbin Up (complete with foot actions), 5 little speckled frogs, 3 little ducks and any other catchy nursery rhyme being sung to him.

He bounces properly in his jumperoo and sits in the seat part of his pushchair. He loves his baths (splashes like crazy) and goes to sleep on his side clutching his Wabbit. He still barely cries but shouts or does a short high pitch scream (Think Queenie from Blackadder II) when he wants something.

Eating is his new favourite pastime and I'm yet to find a food he dislikes. He loves his porridge and fruit in the morning and enjoys a mixture of vegetables. He also likes toast fingers and the odd low sugar Rusk. Yum! He can also hold his own water beaker/ sippy cup and give himself a drink of water.
