Looming
I sat through the night at Dubai Airport, on a very long connection. It dragged. The coffee shops are all selling autumn specialty drinks even though it’s 32 degrees at night and no one’s in danger of putting on their scarf and larking at the pumpkin patch. However, nothing can stop the marketing power of a spiced latte and smiling models in beige coats.
Back in Dar es Salaam, the humidity is up and the rain is threatening. The skies over the airport looked very imposing and the return to the office tomorrow loomed as much as the grey weather.
