Stormy Sunday

Heavy rain this morning so we drove up to church. We parked by this row of cottages and I my attention was taken by the bright red of the shrub and the colourful door behind. 

We knew the people who lived here but it has changed hands within the last year and the new door colour and wreath presumably reflects the taste of the new owners.

It was actually dry as we walked across the road to church but was raining again as we came out.

We’re waiting for Storm Ashley, the first named storm of the season, but it has brightened up now though it’s looking pretty breezy out there. Some leaves that are now turning in the garden will be on their way shortly! 
Hope anyone further west in the UK isn’t hit too hard by this storm.
