La Modelo Restaurant
Bb and I tackled the front of the roof terrace in the early afternoon, after some desk work. Bb did some invoicing and I finished and submitted (yeh!) the assessor’s report for Budapest.
On the roof terrace, we threw away some dead plants, trimmed back tomato plants and kept those that are still going ok, moved plant pots and washed the front section of the terrace, tidied up our raised garden bed ‘huerta’ and threw out 3 bags of garden refuse. The back section still has to be done!
We came to ‘La Modelo’ for a late lunch and reconnected with the owner, whose wife gave birth to a healthy baby girl five weeks ago - Advika, meaning ‘world’ in Nepalese. He was delighted and proud to show us a few photos. All doing well.
This little lad in my blip is the owner’s cousin’s son - one of two of about the same age. They’re so well-behaved and know when they need to do their homework, can play and then watch some TV. Their mother is the waitress.
