Conquered!

A while back I moaned that I couldn't find a Horse Chestnut tree with lots of conkers, which I needed to make into a substitute for washing detergent.  Yesterday I went to a place where I had seen loads last year, and I was rewarded.

My Blip shows some of them ready for processing, which involves the various items in my extra.  The lump hammer smashes the conkers, and the drawer keeps all the bits together. The wallpaper scrapper and fish slice are only here to transfer the bits from the drawer.  They are now ready to go into the oven on a low light to dry out (which is where they are now).

I'll do some more smashing tomorrow.
