Road Safety Awareness

Road safety awareness day and my word it is needed.

When I learnt to drive I was taught 'mirror, signal and manoeuvre'. In Mainland China things are much more simplified its just 'manoeuvre'. Vehicle oncoming, no problem they'll either slam on the brakes or swerve out of the way. Good thing is nobody drives that fast thankfully.

With Shenzhen being so close to Hong Kong it's easy to see the stark difference in the style of driving and the safety you feel crossing the road. For example, on a pedestrian crossing in HK when the green man lights up vehicles must stop and on the Mainland you've got to keep your wits about you as traffic continues to flow from all directions!
