FOND FAREWELL

J came this morning with bacon and tiger bread for breakfast. We don’t normally see him at 8:30 but he dropped off D at the hospital for her job then came up to see our new house (not yet a home).

At church today we said a fond farewell to our loved verger. Him and his wife (who died 2 years ago) have been a cornerstone of our church community. The readings were very apt today about being a servant of God. He was definitely a good example to us all. He was gifted with an embroidered tapestry that many people had added to (mine was. blipped 9th June). Also £500 gifts voucher, poems, a song written for him and sang by our ladies choir “The Dotty Crochets” and a lovely buffet in church. He was very overwhelmed.
(he’s in trainers and no tie because the house packers packed all his shoes, ties and even half a loaf of bread that was for his breakfast ). :)))))

Despite the rain we continued with our bramble clearance from yesterday. 4 massive bags of brambles and ivy etc. collected. O kindly came to help so we rewarded him with dinner.
EDIT from yesterday the area was much big than 3x6metres. It was in fact 5m x 12m!!!!!
