Buttermere

I dropped Deb off at Swinside - she was aiming to run over Causey Pike, Sail, Eel Crag, Wandope & Whiteside. I drove to Buttermere, spend a couple of hours photographing, and met her by the Lake. 

Although Derwentwater had mist when we woke up, Buttermere was grey and overcast when I arrived. It was only in the last half hour I was there that the quality of light changed. This tree was a gorgeous russet red, and just needed this little touch of sunlight to lift it.
