It’s delicious…
So we’ve headed south to Eyemouth to meet up with Withers and her husband Jim at lovely LeeAnne’s for two days of golf for the guys and two days of nonsense for the girls.
Wasn’t looking forward to the journey in Storm Ashley but it was very pleasant with blue skies and sunshine.
Withers and Jim arrived about 15 minutes before us. After hellos we settled down to coffee and blethers. The wind picked up and the noise in the surrounding trees was tremendous.
LeeAnne had made reservations for dinner at Oblo so we all piled out and headed there at 6pm. Fabulous menu and friendly service so we chose lots of tasty bits and stuffed our faces. They also had lots of gifts for sale from food gifts to lovely crockery so we bought some coasters for the garden room and tea towels to match our new kitchen decor.
Back to LeeAnne’s for a cosy evening of chat and a slice of my pumpkin shaped/orange flavoured cake. Jane hated it so much she had a second slice :-))
Just before we left today Billy, the painter and decorator, texted me to say he’ll be in on Wednesday morning at 8am to start painting the garden room. We don’t get home till Tuesday evening so it will be a late dash to get the room cleared for his arrival!
