Sluggan Bridge
The massive semi-circular arch of the bridge carrying General Wade's Military road from Dunkeld to Inverness over the River Dulnain. Not Wade's bridge it had two or more arched and fell into disuse when the road was realigned around 1800 or was lost in the Muckle Spate of 1829. This much patched replacement follows the line of the military road.
This was a perfect, almost still autumn afternoon for the walk, the birches and sycamores along the route glowed in the late afternoon sunshine as can be seen in the extras
