Sunday
The weather was so awful this morning that the cafe didn't open.
We picked our moment for a walk but we're still caught in a five minute downpour.
The trees around the cafe appeared stripped of their foliage leaving a carpet of debris.
Rachel has never been down into the cutting so we ventured down when the weather allowed. Again, lots of debris and fallen branches.
We enjoyed lunch at The Black Horse. Their vegan option is my favourite Sunday roast choice for miles. It's like a cranberry nut roast but formed into balls and given a crispy coating. Really delicious.
This afternoon was much improved and surprisingly warm yet blowy. Clive took Hetty for a chase around the park.
With everyone at home, and having eaten too much, today felt like Christmas.
