Throgs Neck Bridge

On my way to a short bird photo tour at Nickerson Beach on Long Island--more on that in the next three days. The Throgs Neck Bridge crosses from the New York mainland east of NYC to Long Island; the Wiki article dates it from 1961--I would have thought it was older than that. It's about 4 pm and a little bit misty--the neighboring Whitestone Bridge (to the west) was hardly visible, and Manhattan probably not at all (though I couldn't look closely).

Now to bed--we're off at 6 am tomorrow.
