Reflections

A calm, sunny, warm fall day. It was nice to be outside.

Our fall out of town brunch was held today, we went to Tatamagouche, about a 1.5 hour drive north of here. We only had 9 people go today. I decided to drive myself so I could stop and take photos. The main photo was taken at Balmoral Grist Mill. I stopped there on my way to brunch. The extra photo was taken along a trail in Tatamagouche, part of the Great Canadian Trail. I was on the trail, looking back towards the road.

After brunch, I went cross country to Wentworth, then down to Masstown Market and home. I stopped at a couple of places for photos.

No response from either the owner or her nephew today. The cats are sleeping this evening, so the mice must have taken the hint and are somewhere else in the house. I plan to make a couple of phone calls tomorrow and start gathering information so I will know what my options are.

A horrifying incident at one of the local Walmarts last night. An employee got locked into one of the big bakery ovens and died as a result. People are starting to question how it happened. The rack is pushed in, the door is closed and the oven is turned on. There is no room for a person to be in there when one rack is there. Even if the person was cleaning it she should not have had to be inside, and even if she was, who turned the oven on. And when she started screaming, someone should have pulled the main breaker, but that didn't happen either. I don't know who the manager of that Walmart is now, they just did a big rotation, moving managers from one store to another.
