2024 Sunday — Coming Home

We were on our way home after having dinner in Morro Bay driving north toward Cayucos. At first I thought we had completely missed the sunset and the afterglow show; then we realized the afterglow had just begun. As we drove the sky looked as though it had set itself on fire.

This photo is from the south end of our street; it is the tallest portion of the street. If you enlarge this photo the Cayucos pier can be seen off in the distance. We rarely see it from this angle after the sun has set.
