The Original "Black" Album*

Lament has finally arrived after an initial scare when the first parcel "went missing" last week somewhat. A worthy addition to my Ultravox collection.

This is the deluxe 8 disc edition boxset with the original Peter Savile art work re-instated with embossed gloss black squares on a matt black back. The original Lament (1984) LP covers had to be stopped due do the complex printing process and reprinted in off-black to make the squares "visible": typical of Peter Saville. Refer to similar stories from Joy Division & New Order who famously used PS for their artwork.
The track listings are perhaps a little over the top, but the new remixes are in the form of true 80's 12" single and are well worth the listen. The live recordings are well performed and comes with two 12" booklets.

If only I was born five years earlier......
