Sunday in the rain

Rain and wind had battered Amadeus all night but we were warm and cosy in here.
Dippy woke up with lots of energy and so we decided to head out togged up with as much waterproof gear as we could.
Across meadows and streams copses, and Woodland we came across fields of sunflowers and harvested maize where pheasants were numerous waiting for the “sporting guns” to come along and shoot them from the sky.
L came over with the scones that I had bought from the Lundy store on Saturday and we enjoyed a cream tea before she headed back home.
Vivian invited Dippy and myself in to her warm kitchen, me for a drink and Dippy to snuggle up by the Aga. Dippy being so tiny that he needed supplemental feeding knows all about snugging up and especially next to an Aga.
The evening soon arrived and blended into night time whilst wind and rain continually battered Amadeus. I nodded off to sleep in sitting position at 21:30 only to be woken up by a phone call an hour later.
Back to sleep by midnight all is good.
