Black-headed Gulls

I was scheduled to get my flu/covid jags at 1.16 but I was out by 1.14 and on my way home for a spot of lunch before settling down to listenjng/watching Bach's Christmas Oratorio on YouTube. Along with The Magnificat we are singing some pieces from The Oratorio. If I'm honest I find singing in German very difficult .... Latin is so much easier. I didn't study languages at school, apart from the compulsory French to O Grade standard .... maths and the sciences were for me.

The weather was still a bit wild but not wet. I had a walk round the Heritage Park and at first I thought that there were no birds. As I neared the far end I could see three Little Grebes beyond camera reach and then in the small, sheltered nature reserve I spotted the Swan family but that was it. No ducks, no geese to be seen anywhere.

Coming back round to the car park end I saw two Black-headed Gulls being buffered by the wind.
