Let the project restart!

My daughter had said she would help me reboot a project that I started in a workshop over 20 years ago and never finished!!!  I bet I am not the only person to have one of those UFO's (unfinished objects) lurking in a cupboard!!!  Over 20 years ago I was doing a lot of machine patchworking with a group and this one was a one day workshop.. we made a quarter of a large quilt in a pattern called Trip around the World.. and since then three quarters has sat in a bag with the instructions (basic) ... today they had their outing and we have been cutting and sewing and ironing all afternoon. It took an hour per quarter to stitch not including the cutting out of the strips (seen in this photo) So tomorrow we will cut the tubes of fabric into strips and sew them all again.. very exciting and I will keep the progress posted!
Lovely having her to stay although I know it is frustrating for her not having her own home available for now
