"The Golden Road" by William Dalrymple

I have just bought his 2024 latest history of India having started in 1994 by reading his then second so called 'travel' book "City of Djinns" and was hooked. He has now written many excellent award winning histories of India and lives in Delhi. I am fascinated by Indian geography, history and culture and his tomes are so well written and readable.
