Autumn Colours

Once the worst of Storm Ashley’s rain had passed, took the bus to visit Dad and spend the afternoon with him. Still windy but warm enough to go out into the garden to enjoy the autumn colours and eat mince pies.

While I was there the nurse very kindly took a look at my hand, injured when I fell last week. She dressed it and has given me supplies so I can change the dressing every three days until it heals. Of course it would be my right hand, my dominant hand!

The 5min bus journey home took 40mins. Storm Ashley had brought a tree down across the bypass, meaning all direct traffic between Bristol and Bath was diverted through town, crawling at a snail’s pace. If I’d had the energy it would’ve been quicker to walk!
