Berry Colourful

I took a photo today of some berries in a hedgerow. 

The berries are past their best but I liked the colour contrast with the lichen.

It has generally been a quiet day weather-wise, cooling breeze, some cloud, some nice sunny spells and occasional blue skies...

I am awaiting a call from my wife who was rushed to hospital last night.

She fell in the kitchen and landed very heavily, and has broken her hip.

I have never been so glad to see an ambulance, and an efficient and compassionate crew who quickly assessed her and administered pain relief.

It is very upsetting to see someone you care for in such abject pain and to not be able to do anything to ease their suffering.

But thankfully now she is in the right place getting the right care. And an operation tomorrow to put things right.

Life is never simple is it.
