iMal madness
An early start, and a brisk walk to Waverley. I doze all the way to London, grab a Caribbean salad box at the Kings Cross market and install myself at St Pancras. Swift exit from Britain and entrance to Europe before boarding the train and a trouble free journey to Brussels.
The Airbnb is easy to find, easy to get into, and difficult to believe that it complies with local building regulations. There are six rooms, none with external windows. The ventilation panels in the ceilings provide no ventilation. The only air comes into the central corridor through a floor level window that opens up onto the street from the first floor. And there are two low parts of the main corridor that are protected from residents' heads by foam pipe lagging.
After a short snooze, I head to the iMal for an evening of beer, poutine, and weird electronic art/music. The high point has got to be the strange guy from Antwerp making sounds and images from lasers, mirrors, balloons and soap bubbles.
