NHS Cuts

This is a picture of a pair of medical scissors used for cutting off clothing and bike leathers in event of emergency.

Which is why we have them. The ambulance crew used them to cut off my wife's trousers last night, after a fall in which she broke her hip. (Neck of femur fracture)

Long story short, she is in hospital in great pain and is scheduled for corrective surgery first thing tomorrow.

She is well and being properly cared for but the three hours she spent on the floor waiting for the ambulance were not fun.

We get to keep the scissors. Apparently they are single use items, apparently not to be used twice. What a waste, no wonder the NHS is in trouble.

But we were so glad they were there for us when we needed them....
