Iron work

A detail of the interior of Betty's, where Jan does a lot of her creative work.
I was first attracted by the two irons facing each other. Then I noticed a third iron across the room but that was an old-fashioned iron, to use with a fire or stove. Nowadays it is just a convenient weight when something needs holding down.
One of the two pictured irons is for pressing paper, the other is old and rather broken. In the sewing room there's yet another iron, used for ironing material.
Mike and Charl arrived today from England. It's their third trip here so they know what to expect! After a long day of travelling they went off to bed early.
