Evening all.

Spent the morning following the lions following the wildebeests.

We were fortunate enough to be in the perfect position to watch them stalk and drive the wildebeest until it reched its inevitable conclusion.

We then stumbled across a small gruup of young with a couple of lioness that had just completed a kill, and were using the carcass both as food and as a teaching aid.

The lioness had opened the carcass so the young could eat but also so they could practiccce holds and killing grips on a dead animal, our guide said that soon the lioness would catch small live wildebeest and disable it either by breaking a leg or cutting tendons in the legs, then leave it so the young could practice an actual kill on an animal that couldn't defend itself.

No idea what this picture looks like as i'm sitting outdoors and the screen is not good in daylight, hopefully it comes out ok.....mind you, it was either this photo or one of a pair of hyena doing the rumpy pumpy in the middle of a decaying wildebeest carcass....

i'm scarred for life.
