Toddler Alert!

Just a quick blip today as we had quite a long drive from Ottawa to Toronto then had to return the rental car to the depot before 6pm. Fortunately we were in good time for that as the address for it would be OK for walking in to pick up a car but the drive-in entrance for dropping it off was almost a block away and well hidden! Had we picked up the car here we'd have know where the vehicle entrance/exit was but we'd picked it up in Montreal. And of course they weren't answering the phone. Anyway having parked it on a street not too far away and explored on foot we eventually found it!

After a quick journey from the depot on subway and bus we were given a warm welcome by our grandson and our son and DiL - not to mention hundreds of licks from granddog Oona.

So the blip is one of our grandson's current favourite toys - dating back to the 1970s but still in working order (it came from one of our DiL's friends). Of course when I see one of these I can't stop thinking of Arkright's store in the old sitcom "Open all Hours" !
