We visited Bristol cathedral today to see this art installation by Luke Jerram.  It is a 7 metre wide replica of the rotating earth, suspended from the ceiling and lit internally.  It is accompanied by a specially produced soundtrack. It was mesmerising.  I may well return for a second visit.

It is having more luck than another of Jerrram's artworks in Bridgwater docks: this was destroyed yesterday by storm Ashley.
