Day at a Time

Berwick-upon-Tweed

The Royal Border Bridge. Blipped before but it's such a magnificent structure that it earns another entry. Crossing a border is always a big thing.

After my regular Tuesday zoom chat I boarded the train for Edinburgh. There I changed to a TransPennine train to Berwick. I didn't really understand that as it didn't feel like crossing the Pennines going from Edinburgh to Berwick (where the train stopped) but it was on time, clean and quiet so I wasn't arguing.

I've got a bit of time in Berwick so I'm in a lovely cafe with a cup of tea and a slice of gf marmalade cake. In about an hour I'll get the bus to Seahouses where I'll rendezvous with J for a couple of days walking on the Northumberland Coast Path. I'll be there first so I can scope our accommodation, buy milk etc then we'll let the exercise begin. Though maybe we'll have an evening meal first!
