Buxton Opera House last night

An early birthday treat to see experience the 50th Anniversary tour of Mike Oldfield’s Tubular Bells. I was 12 when it first came out so probably don’t remember it then but have loved it since I first heard it.
Robin A Smith a long time friend and collaborator with Mike has assembled a superbly talented bunch of musicians and singers , and it was an absolute joy. First half a miscellany of MO music and songs, and then second half, the full Tubular Bells I and more as an encore. Brilliant experience!
