The high street
I rather liked the way the light was illuminating the church and the old village from the top end of the high street. It was the big market shop in the town today. Our village market is quite good but nothing like the size of the main town market. I had to go to the bank as well to make a payment for the new car. There are quite low restrictions on how much you can transfer on internet banking which I suppose is a good thing in that it goes some way to preventing internet fraud and scamming. It does mean a trip to the branch for any significant purchase if a cheque will not cut the mustard. The tennis coach was not available for the lesson so we just had a practice. I then sorted the insurance of the new car which has gone up 20%. I expect this is to some extent the result of increased claims due to climate change. I also threatened my resignation as treasurer of the painting group as the president thinks she can make all the decisions without consulting other committee members, including the financial decisions which are more my responsibility.
