Parga Kastro or castle
This is perched on a hill overlooking the town. It is approached using a large number of steps, each one a little too much higher than it's predecessor making it a difficult climb, especially as it's still very warm..
You can not see from the blip but there is a sign on the gates giving opening times. There were no times given just the one word CLOSED.
The steps back down proved as difficult, if not more so, than on the assent.
We commiserated with each other over a large iced coffee with ice cream in it in a café overlooking the harbour. It took over an hour for the ice-cream to melt so we sat and read our Kindle's
This afternoon was backgammon in the shade of a very large, possibly Maple, tree. We have found an alternative way of playing called Fevga. Evidently it is a version originating in Greece so quite appropriate
