I’ve had a fairly productive day, fitting some things around other things to get quite a bit done. The boiler’s been serviced (not by me, obviously!), I prepped the slow cooker for tonight’s meal, I made a batch of soup, I tried a new recipe for fruit bread in the bread maker (it smells amazing), I completed the batch of mincemeat by putting it into jars to mature for Christmas, I made arrangements to see our sons for an afternoon of board games followed by dinner, I had a useful telephone consultation with the surgery’s pharmacist about some new meds, I spoke to my sister & my niece, I went over to a nearby village cafe / deli (see photo) to top up my cards and I went for a walk. Oh, and it was a work day!
I plan to settle down with a book this evening. I’m currently reading “The Lives of Lee Miller”, having enjoyed the film.
