Deer at Holkham
A beautiful day was forecast, so I decided to go over to Holkham this morning to take some photos of the deer in rutting season. The stags were doing lots of bellowing, but the ladies were showing very little interest. I've added a collage of deer photos to Extras. I was a little bit miffed when I arrived as I hadn't realised that whilst Historic Houses members still get in for free, they now get charged a flat fee of £6 for parking, the second HH house in the area to introduce this rip off. My rib injury hasn't fully recovered, so I knew I was only staying for around an hour, so it was very expensive parking!
I've been having problems with slow internet and drop outs for the last week or so, so reluctantly I had to contact BT - I wasn't feeling positive given my appalling experience in April. Three hours later and they haven't resolved this issue, or the one I've been sitting on for months that I can't receive incoming calls on my landline. I won't bore you with the details, but they're sending me a replacement Digital Voice phone and an additional wifi disc. It doesn't give you much hope when the technical advisor's screen froze at least three times during the call. It's been going downhill since they merged with EE.
