Bridge Over (not) Troubled Water
This is the Gardiner-Randolph bridge that allows traffic to cross over the Kennebec River. There are two other bridges in the area but one has to travel an additional 8-10 miles to cross • In 2001 the bridge was re-named to the Pearl Harbor Remembrance Bridge on the 60th anniversary of the attack • The first bridge ever built to connect both sides was in 1853; although there were two other updates in between this one was built in 1980. This summer it was closed to traffic for almost two months due to required maintenance. What an inconvenience but we all survived :) • Got the ladder out to finish the first coat of paint on the top part of the door, then started the second coat on the frame • Glad I left a watering can and short hose out because some watering was needed today. Yes, another t-shirt day! 70F :)) • Peace & Love
