Diverted

When I walk Django, I generally try to choose a route that takes a good number of Turf zones, but another local Turfer was out on her bike, neatly cutting off zones for me to take. Hence I took a different route to Cornbank to reach takable zones, and had this view of the Pentlands that so dominate the town.

Then I went into work, where the two new office chairs I asked for yesterday had already arrived! After a good supervision meeting with my Year 4 project student, I set up on PhD student Y's desk the monitor that I'd brought in from home - having taking it from work just before the first lockdown! Then I had lunch with Y and PhD student B in the common room: Y was sharing a lamb pilaff that she'd made at the weekend.

In the afternoon, I programmed a relatively simple calculation as an illustration of good coding practice for my project student, had a meeting with B, and then a brief chat with Y.

I was hoping that I'd not have to go in until next Tuesday, but I think that three of my charges will need a chat on Thursday.
