I have a feeling my sister may have blipped this statue earlier in the year. It’s on a retail park in Swadlincote, I’m sure there is a story relating to it, there are lots of old furnaces in the area and I’m sure it is connected to them.
After a trip to our local retail park this morning we fancied a change of scenery and ended up in Swadlincote for a spot of late birthday lunch. Nice Italian meal and a glass of wine. Randomly bumped into someone who used to work in the next shop to me at the garden centre. Good to catch up with her news.
