Pep Talks

We were inspired by two great lectures today. In the morning the speaker at the Museum was the Coxswain of the Torbay lifeboat. There were tales  of bravery and dedication in this the 200th year of the service. It was illustrated with videos of rescues, and old Pathe newsreels.

In the evening we went  to see television presenter and film maker Simon Reeve. What a speaker. The first half was about his films. The second hour was a motivational presentation about life, living, green issues, and his story - a battle with mental health issues as a young person. He was brilliant. It was a sellout, and the Princess Theatre is pretty big.

Less screen time - more green time, was one of Simon’s messages.
